KZN Bieżanów Group among Poland’s largest businesses
KZN Bieżanów Group makes its debut on the prestigious “Top 500 List” of the most dynamically growing businesses published by “Rzeczpospolita” daily. This year the capital group, operating under the brand of KZN “Bieżanów” and associated with the rail infrastructure sector, ranked 433 among all the listed businesses.
“Rzeczpospolita”’s report is the first record of the results of Poland’s largest businesses in the given year that gives an insight into their condition. Compared to 2014, the total sales revenues of the largest businesses on the list grew only by 1%. Against this backdrop KZN Bieżanów Group’s results are truly impressive. The newcomer was listed 433 with over PLN 500 million in revenue and impressive year-on-year growth exceeding 30%! “The capital group that we have been building since 2010 is KZN “Bieżanów”’s way of providing comprehensive customer service in the rail surface industry. We are constantly improving our organisation and expanding our product range, which makes us the leading brand in the industry,” says Ryszard Leszczyński, Chairman of the Board of KZN “Bieżanów”, the capital and technology leader of the capital group. “Dynamic year-on-year growth has also been made possible by our orientation towards innovation. Our market value is created, inter alia, by the cast bainitic steel used in our crossing plates; the only turnout in the Polish railway industry with a rated speed of 250 km/h approved by the Office of Rail Transport; or the Switcher system, which provides a European and global breakthrough in safe logistics of high-quality turnouts. The year-on-year revenue increase shows that our strategy of a comprehensive approach and innovation, complemented by our focus on quality and safety, is the right direction,” emphasizes Mr. Leszczyński.
KZN Bieżanów Group owes its ranking debut not only to the parent company, which gave the holding its name, but also to the work of Trade-Port, KZN Rail, and Sleeper Treatment Plant in Czeremcha and its affiliate, Hamech. The result would have been even better if the statements of the German affiliate KZN Bahntechnik, the Polish-Spanish KZN & Talgeria consortium and Vistula Rail Operator had been taken into account. Due to the nature of Polish tax regulations, those statements were not included in the consolidated financial statement for 2015, which serves as the basis for the “Top 500 List”.
It should be borne in mind that for the general public the main objective of businesses in the Polish economy is to create jobs and pay taxes in Poland. “Our organisation is founded on 100% Polish private capital. Which is why we are happy to see that the number of Polish businesses in “Rzeczpospolita”’s ranking has been rising for several years now. This confirms our potential to grow and reinforce the Polish economy on our own, based on the actual value generated by our employees. Organisations such as KZN Bieżanów Group also show that growth can be driven by developing new solutions, instead of just assembling components provided by more developed countries,” comments Mr. Leszczyński.
The “Top 500 List” is the ranking of the 500 largest Polish businesses according to revenue, inspired by the Fortune 500 list. The list has been prepared and published by “Rzeczpospolita” daily for almost 20 years.
