We promote safety culture.
The companies of the KZN Bieżanów Group became the latest signatories to the “Railway Safety Culture Declaration”. Formal signing up for the initiative only confirms practices developed over the years – included in the KZN brand code – activities aimed at expanding railway safety.
The official signing of the document on behalf of new companies was held on May 30, 2018 at the seat of the Railway Transport Office (Urząd Transportu Kolejowego) in Warsaw. On behalf of the companies of the KZN Bieżanów Group: Kolejowe Zakłady Nawierzchniowe “Bieżanów”, KZN Bahntechnik, KZN Rail, KZN&TALEGRIA and Nasycalnia Podkładów in Czeremcha, the document was signed by Magdalena Kamińska, Technical and Quality Director of the capital group leader.
“For decades, the company and the KZN Bieżanów Group have been strongly attached to the key value of rail transport – safety. This aspect is particularly close to my heart, because I am responsible for safety as it is generally understood – from OHS, to technology and products. These often underestimated areas are an inspiration to development for an experienced entrepreneur. KZN’s ambition, therefore, has always been to manage them so that they become a source or an immanent part of all innovative projects implemented in Bieżanów.” said Magdalena Kamińska after signing the declaration.
The Declaration is an initiative of the Railway Transport Office, in operation for two years in the industry. The Office recognizes that railway transport is a particularly demanding sector in terms of safety. It is a key and necessary condition for the sustainable development of the railway industry, which is why – as the purpose of the declaration – each entity operating in the railway industry should maintain and increase the level of safety as part of its operations. To date, 177 companies operating in the railway industry have signed the declaration.
